www.hualalai.org Thar She Blows! Mammals of the Sea This class covers some of the basics of Mammalian Biology and the study of Marine Mammals in particular. The course starts out with a brief introduction to the different types of animals and scientific classification. We will then study the different orders of Marine Mammals. We will study Cetaceans (whales and dolphins), Pinnipeds (seals and sea lions), Sirens (dugongs and manatees), sea otters and polar bears.
